What are some of the luggage restrictions when traveling?
Airline restrictions vary by each airline, but fifty (50) pounds is the normal maximum allowed per suitcase. Some airlines charge for all checked bags, while some may allow one free bag per passenger. If your luggage is overweight, you will be required to pay a fee or transfer some items into another suitcase or your Carry On Luggage before proceeding.
Carry On Luggage also has its restrictions. All airline vary, but most want the dimensions smaller than 22″ x 14″ x 9″ (some airline may go as large as 24″ x 16″ x 10″). They mainly want all Carry On Luggage to fit in the overhead bins. Each passenger is also allowed one personal bag (briefcase, computer bag, purse or small tote etc.) that will fit under the seat in front of you.
Airline regulations change often, so always check with your airline for more details.
